For women with a business idea, the leap to starting a business can sometimes feel daunting. Challenges such as financing, networking, and practical know-how can appear as major obstacles. That’s why we at Feminvest are especially excited about our new partnership with Visma Spcs – a collaboration designed to inspire more women to take the plunge into entrepreneurship and bring their business ideas to life.
In Sweden, only around 28 percent of all businesses are owned by women, according to the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth. At the same time, we know that female entrepreneurs often face additional challenges when it comes to accessing capital and networks. We’re here to help change that. Through our collaboration with Visma Spcs, we’ll be launching two digital courses this spring and fall. The first course aims to inspire and guide women who are looking to start a business—helping them take their idea from concept to launch. The second course is tailored for those who already run a business and want to streamline their accounting and administration, saving valuable time and resources.
"At Feminvest, we work to increase women's access to capital and entrepreneurial opportunities. Through our collaboration with Visma Spcs, we want to inspire more women to start businesses and create more opportunities for women to grow as entrepreneurs and eventually investors. Together with large organizations like Visma Spcs, we can drive change and strengthen female ownership," says Yaroslava Weidersjö, Strategic Partnership Manager at Feminvest.
Creating these concrete tools and training allows us to reach more women and lower the threshold for stepping into entrepreneurship.
"We are proud to initiate this collaboration with Feminvest. A diversity of companies and entrepreneurs in different sectors is crucial for strengthening Sweden's competitiveness. Therefore, women's entrepreneurship is a strategically significant factor for the country's economic growth, employment level, and societal development," says Charlotte von Sydow, CEO of Visma Spcs.
Together, we can create a future where more women take place as entrepreneurs and investors, and where Sweden's business community becomes more inclusive and equal. We look forward to sharing these courses with you and hope you will join us on the journey towards stronger female entrepreneurship.
