28 percent of entrepreneurs in Sweden are women, the lowest percentage in the Nordics. To create better conditions for female entrepreneurs, VISA is awarding the She’s Next scholarship for the second year in a row. An initiative in which three Swedish and Norwegian women-owned companies each are awarded €10,000 each as well as coaching for one year. Are you a female majority-owned company – apply for the scholarship today.
Feminvest has been assigned to coach the entrepreneurs in the VISA scholarship She’s Next in Norway and Sweden during 2024, these companies can also take part in the Feminvest entrepreneurs network EXPAND.
Feminvest is a Scandinavian hub to ensure a more equal distribution of wealth between women and men. The business is based on three areas; personal finance (ACADEMY), angel investments (ANGEL INVESTOR) and entrepreneurship (EXPAND). The company’s ambition is to accelerate women’s ownership. The three orientations are based on the fact that you can become a millionaire in three ways; by starting a business, by investing in the stock-market or a great entrepreneur.
“This global initiative from VISA is completely in line with what we work for at Feminvest. To draw attention to how many companies with growth ambitions there are among women, contribute to their success and highlight the importance of reviewing one’s own opportunities in ownership.” Saba Saad Manager, EXPAND
Through the scale-up program EXPAND, companies that are majority-owned by women are offered; knowledge, network and marketing to scale their business. The companies are given the opportunity to get exposure through the Feminvest Podcast and to the investor network that Feminvest has with 300+ women investors.
The collaboration with VISA includes the following for the scholarship holders in Norway and Sweden:
- Exposure in the Feminvest podcast
- 1 hour of coaching per month that is adapted to the company’s needs
- The opportunity to exhibit free of charge at the annual FEARLESS events in the Nordics
- Participate in the EXPAND network’s physical and digital meetings every month.
