From High Pressure to High Potential: My Entrepreneurial Journey and How Breathing Became the Key
I have always had a deep interest in health. Already when I started as a solopreneur 25 years ago, I combined my drive for entrepreneurship with my great commitment to outdoor activities, health, and later - even Ayurveda. Over many years, I built up a successful outdoor and event company, where I constantly juggled many balls at the same time and drove large projects from idea to finished result. The biggest event had 2000 participants and was spread over 10x10 miles in the mountain world. It was and is an intense lifestyle that suits my energy and my desire to lure people into nature.
Stress Creeps In
Despite my passion for health and my interest in Ayurveda, it was easy to forget certain fundamentals when the assignments grew and the responsibility became greater. It wasn't until I began to explore the role of breathing properly that I realized how much I was actually running on high gear - and how my body and brain were not getting the recovery they needed.
Breathing as a Bridge Between Body and Mind
In Ayurveda, balance in life and how important natural processes are for our well-being are emphasized. When I really started studying how breathing affects stress levels, blood pressure, and mental clarity, many pieces of the puzzle fell into place. It was no coincidence that, despite my interest in health, I sometimes felt powerless and unfocused - I simply wasn't breathing in a way that supports the body. I would often wake up at night, tossing and turning and ruminating unnecessarily.
More Effective Decisions and a Calmer Mind
A big difference I noticed immediately when I changed my breathing pattern was how much better I became at making wise decisions. Previously, I could rush through discussions and it felt like my brain was burning with all the thoughts and decisions. Nowadays, I know how the body is affected by good breathing and I have tools to let the body land before I move on - and suddenly I am both more efficient and more focused. Additionally, sleep, which has always been important to me, is now really good.
Ayurveda, Breathing, and the Future
I see great opportunities in combining the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda with concrete breathing exercises. For me, this is the core of sustainable health, especially for us entrepreneurs who are constantly balancing between drive and recovery. I would love to share how you can find simple, practical tools that provide energy, lower stress levels, and create better conditions for lifelong success. In my new brand, Breathing & Ayurveda, I have built a business based on the two pillars of Breathing and Ayurveda. I give lectures, hold workshops with groups and companies, and run an app called Conscious Breathing. The app is really fun to work with because it helps so many to a better life with more energy and less stress thanks to all the knowledge it provides. It includes a six-week course that explains HOW breathing works and how you can use it as a tool to avoid stress, lower blood pressure, get better training results, and much more exciting stuff.

My journey, from focusing solely on results and deadlines to being able to combine that with good health and inner balance, has changed my life and my business.
